Roof Cement Sealant
Asphalt Roof Cement is ideal for applying Zinc Roof Defense to asphalt roof shingles. It has excellent adhesion qualities to bond the zinc flashing with the shingle. It’s the only roof sealant that can be applied to a wet or moist surface and it can withstand extreme temperatures both high and low.
Asphalt Roof Cement also is great for waterproofing; a small dab on top of the nail heads will assure that no water will enter.

Overall I had been researching different ways to revive my roof and came across Zinc. I was about to order online but decided to call Wash Safe and see what they could suggest. I ended up buying a 50ft. zinc roll, some roof wash and the Roof Cement Sealant. I would have completely missed out if I hadn't called. I'm the kind of guy that likes to do projects on my own. They gave me a ton of hints and it really helped when it came time to install the Zinc. The sealant worked great and Dom suggested I can also use it to waterproof the nails once they have been hammered in. Great advice! (Posted on 4/26/12)
